After waiting for Haruto to tell her what it was he needed, finally the boy replied, asking her how the card Chain Healing would work, as well as for an explanation on Trap Monsters. Sighing, Kiyoko inhaled deeply before replying to him, “Well, you know that cards can be activated in response to other cards, right? Well, that forms what is called a Chain. The first card activated in response to another forms a chain 2, and the next a chain 3, and so on and so forth. In addition, an important rule to note on chains is that once the full chain has been determined, that is, once no more cards are added to it, the cards take effect in order of when they were activated, going from the most recent to the earliest.”
Kiyoko then took in another breath, briefly looking around for a moment and spotting Thomas who was looking at her. Sort of shrinking under his, and the other students gaze, she then returned her attention to Haruto and replied to his other question, “Now, as for Trap Monsters, they are traps that become monsters when activated, being moved into a free Monster Card zone and actually being used as a monster themselves, as opposed to summoning a token like other monster summoning traps might. Trap Monsters are still considered traps when on the field as a monster though, so they are still vulnerable to cards like Dust Tornado that destroy traps. So, does that answer your question?” Kiyoko said, looking at Haruto with a meek smile.

Thomas turned his attention back to his studies. "That was helpful" he thought.

Haruto was truly thankful for Kiyoko's efforts. He now understood what these various trap cards did, and his deck could probably improve from such cards as a result. He thought Kiyoko was a pretty smart duelist. He decided that her explanation was enough for one day in terms of learning, so once she had finished explaining, he took a second to browse through the textbook again, and then nodded. "Yes, thanks... you're smart..."
Haruto said, before giving her back her textbook, and deciding to go so he could take a quick trip to the card store before it closes.

Nodding again with a smile to Haruto, Kiyoko politely replied, “You’re welcome.”
She then took her textbook when Haruto handed it back to her and walked back over to her desk, sitting down and then setting the textbook on it again, opening it and turning it to the page she had been working out of as she once again resumed her own homework.
