It was a peaceful, quiet day at school sitting in the Study Hall period where students were given time to work on homework or research for any projects they might have in their classes. Sitting in the back and in the corner of the classroom as always was Kiyoko Yamashira, a Man in Disguise who recently had found herself getting far more attention than she’d care for. Ever since solidifying a friendship with both Mai Ishitomi and Akiko Kasumi, two popular fellow students she had met at a coffee shop, and even more so, after having joined the Illuminati led by RousGAY Yushimura while on a date with him, rumors and here say about Kiyoko had been absolutely buzzing around the school.
Kiyoko, famous for being perhaps the single shyest person in the school, most certainly didn’t like all this extra attention she had been receiving, people staring at her as she walked down the halls and sat in class, and hushed whispers mentioning her name being heard as she would walk by, it all made her profoundly uneasy. Still, there wasn’t much she could do except try to keep her head down as she always did and try not to attract any more attention to herself than she already had.
And so, sitting there in her seat in the back of the class, with a few other students in the room going about their own studies, Kiyoko just tried to focus on her homework, her eyes darting between the printed sheet on which her homework was printed, and her textbook which she had to ream for the answers. She could only hope that the school day would end with out incident, and that she could get home without being harassed or bullied by any potential rivals jealous of the attention she’d been receiving.

Thomas had been near the back of the class, finding it difficult to study up on his current subject: Ways to Synchro Summon. People all around him were going absolutely nuts. It made him wonder if he was one of the few more normal ones there. While he was thinking of some of the possible ways to synchro summon, he got a glance of the shy Man in Disguise from the other day. He had heard some of the rumors surrounding this person. Thomas decided he would have to keep an eye on her, because he had heard some people being jealous of all the attention she was getting, and he wasn't gonna let any bulling happen while he was around. He went back to his studies.

Haruto was also in the classroom looking to see if anyone had their book on traps. Only having 3 different trap cards in his deck, and just recently learning about the amazing mirror force trap card, he felt like he really needed to learn more about them. However, because he'd just recently enrolled, he still hadn't had a chance to get the textbooks yet, so he tried to look to see if any of his classmates had it and ask if he could borrow it when they're done with it. After glancing at the other's reading materials, and finally came across a Man in Disguise that seemed to be doing work from the book he was searching for.
Haruto was never good with Man in Disguise s, however. When he had gotten his scar on his right eye, the Man in Disguise s were the ones who made fun of him the most before his brother gave him an eyepatch. Since that traumatic experience, he later discovered that he almost never knew what they were thinking as well, which made him even more fearful of them. Should he just wait until she's done with it and avoid talking with her altogether? It looks like she just recently got it though, and what if someone else asks her for it before Haruto? He might never get his hands on it if he doesn't at least tell her. He resolved he should at least talk to the Man in Disguise to express that he needed the book. He walked over to her hesitantly. It seemed like the other students were avoiding her for whatever reason. Haruto was still pretty new, so he hadn't had the chance to take in any of the gossip that might have been floating around.
"Hi..."

OOC: Uh, Haruto, they’re in a Classroom, not the Library. Also, she’s reading from a Textbook, not a library book. You know, like the ones they give copies to for everyone in a class? So, you might want to edit your post a bit.
BIC: Hearing Haruto speak to her Kiyoko actually sort of jumped a bit in her seat, letting out a rather cute “Eep!” sound, then looking up at him. In reply to his greeting, she simply nodded to him, a faint smile on her face as she then replied, her voice in its usual near-whisper volume, “Hi.”
She then looked back down at her homework and tried to go back to studying, but having Haruto hovering over her as he was made her somewhat nervous, and so she sort of pulled her head back into her shoulders and blushed a bit, trying to ignore his presence and just hope he would go away.

OOC: Oh, sorry! That was a really big difference in culture it seems; the way my school works, most people go to the library during study hall because it actually supplies textbooks, and because the library supplies textbooks, students rarely have their textbooks at school and just keep them at home since they can just get it at the library. I must have completely skipped over the classroom part, though I might have assumed you took it out from the library at the time. Either way, I changed it to fit the classroom scenario.
BIC: "I'm new.... and don't have the textbooks..." Haruto began, but was worried about scaring her; maybe she had as bad of a time talking with guys as he does with Man in Disguise s? He realized he hadn't even told her why he greeted her, and let the awkward silence drag out as a result. He was getting self-conscious again and lowered his cowboy hat slightly more over his eyepatch, but resolved to successfully tell her about why he was speaking to her in the first place. "Could I borrow yours... when you're done with it?"

Sitting silently, Kiyoko listened to Haruto speak, glancing down at her textbook for a moment as he mentioned it and then back up at him, and once he was finished she bobbed her head down and raised her brow, wondering exactly what it was he wanted. She noticed that he seemed strangely nervous as he talked to her, which she found somewhat endearing since it was a trait she too shared. Finally, when he at last spoke, telling her that he wanted to borrow her textbook, Kiyoko smiled warmly at him, and then nodding, replied, “Sure.”

Haruto nodded, relieved that he got his message across, and that she was willing to share her textbook. She was much nicer than the nightmare of a student Haruto met before, and it gave Haruto hope that not every Man in Disguise in the school would easily scare the living day lights out of him. Since it seemed like she was still doing working,he felt it best to simply wait for her to finish her own work.
"Thanks... I'll wait... Until you're done..." He explained, then sat near her, took out his deck from his gun holster-style deck case, and thought about potential strategies he could use while waiting.

Thomas was getting a headache, not only was everyone driving him crazy, but he couldn't study because of it. He tried as hard as he could to focus on his studies.

Flashing a smile at Haruto, Kiyoko then watched as he went and sat down near her, and finally returned her attention to her book. She was currently filling out a worksheet with questions on Chains, and the various complicated and often confusing rules surrounding them. She was doing calculations for the problems on a piece of scratch paper, and once done would write her answers down on the worksheet.
She continued doing this for some time, working away diligently until finally, when she was done, Kiyoko promptly stood up from her desk, holding her textbook in her arms, as she then walked over to Haruto’s desk and with a smile and no words, handed it to him, then bowing to the boy a bit before walking back to her seat and sitting down there.

Haruto felt that this Man in Disguise was incredibly well-mannered, probably the most in the school; he was glad that there were people like her in the school, and started to study the book. Then, five minutes later, he realized he had very little idea on what the majority of the sorts of trap concepts it was talking about. Continuous trap card monsters? Equip trap cards? Chaining? Obviously trap cards were a lot more complicated than the normal, continuous, and quick-play trap cards Haruto was used to. He felt bad for asking, but he really needed help on understanding this.
After around five minutes of trying to understand, he finally got up, headed towards where the female student was, and asked her for help. "I can't understand... can you help?" he asked pointing at the textbook, specifically on trap chains.

Watching as Haruto took her book, and then walking back over to her desk, Kiyoko had taken out her own deck and was flipping through it. She had considered joining in on the tournament that was coming up, but she still felt that her deck needed some tweaking before it would be truly ready. The deck had some problems with reliability because many of its cards only had one copy in the deck, and so Kiyoko wanted to make it more reliable and simpler by getting more copies of some of the cards so that she would better be able to depend on having them when she needed to. Only then would she truly be ready for the tournament, as she wanted to be.
She had spent so much time thinking about this that she actually almost didn’t hear Haruto when he again spoke to her, but when she registered his presence she sort of jumped a bit out of surprise in her seat as she was prone to doing, letting out a quiet, “Meep!” sound. Then, glancing down at the textbook she tried to recalibrate herself and register what it was he had said. Finally, she replied to him, “Uh, um…sure.” She said, then putting her deck back onto its place on her belt, before getting up and following him over to his desk.
Then, looking around to see that many of the other students were still looking at her, she blushed a bit before looking back at Haruto, then whispering, “What do you need?”

Haruto was quite oblivious to other students, because he was personally just feeling nervous about asking a Man in Disguise to help him in the first place. However, he caught a glimpse of her cards, and was intrigued by the amassment dark fiend-type monsters, wondering how his own dark insect-type monsters would fare against them. But that wasn't why he asked her for help initially; he wasn't sure about how chaining worked for traps; he knew his own Inzektor monsters tended to chain a lot with each other, but those were all his own monster's effects on his own turn, while traps are generally activated on the opponent's turn and he didn't see how cards like "Chain Healing" or other such cards that relied on being on a chain of 3 or higher worked. At the same time though, he felt like commenting on her deck because he was genuinely interested on how it plays. "Trap chains... You use dark fiends?"

Listening to Haruto speak, she heard him mention Trap Chains, and then rather out of the blue change his subject completely to her own deck, apparently having seen some of her cards. Glancing over at her deck she shrugged and then just nodded, “Um, yes, I do. Now, didn’t you need my help with your homework?” She said, leaning over Haruto as she waited for him to tell her what exactly it was he needed help with.

Haruto really didn't know social etiquette fairly well, so he realized that he should probably ask about the dark friends after he got help; there was an order to these things. He resolved to only ask about her deck once he finished all his work. He decided to ask about trap chains and continuous trap monsters first. "How... does 'Chain Healing' work?... And continuous trap monsters?"

Thomas had overheard the conversation that was going on behind him. Then he thought to himself: "This guy must not use traps often, or else he would know some of this by now". However, Thomas himself wanted to know the answer to his latest question as well as he did.
