Kenji was reasonably excited about formally teaching a class for the first time. He heard the bustling students moving around to get to class just as he was, all preparing to go into their respective classes; it reminded him of his high school days. He was casually sitting at his desk, waiting for the students to come in, wondering what sort of faces and decks would be taking his special summoning course. He reviewed his teaching plan, deciding to dedicate today on introduction and a little ice breaker.
The bell finally rang, and a slew of presumably his students began pouring into the classroom. Kenji decided to do some work on his laptop while they came in, to spare the students of the utter internal embarrassment of having the teacher stare at them. He knew how awkward it is for some students to have the teacher so much as look at them as they walk in. Once the bustling quieted down and a helpful student closed the door, he decided to close his llaptop and lean on the blackboard, facing his students.
"Welcome class. My name's Kenji Smith, and I'll be your special summing teacher for the year. You can call me whatever you like outside of class but in here it's preferably Mr. Smith. I'll fully introduce myself and then we'll have a little ice breaker, but first let's start the roll call," Mr. Smith announced, and began reading out the names.
(To join the class, just write that Mr. Smith called your name, and you responded)

"Haruto Huang."
"Here..." Haruto answered meekly. The teacher seemed friendly enough, but Haruto could never feel very comfortable when he's with a lot of people he didn't know. He also wondered exactly what Mr. Smith was going to teach exactly. Did he also teach about fusions and rituals? Or would it just be special summoning with effects? Would Haruto's own special summoning related to banishing be taught in detail in the course? Hopefully Mr. Smith would tell him and the class during the introduction that he said he'd give

"Akira Hayashi"
"Here!" Akira called. He liked special summoning, as he special summoned lots of tokens and xyz monsters in his deck. The new teacher, Mr. Smith, seemed nice, and Akira was curious what the icebreaker would be. He also was wondering what kinds of special summoning would be taught by Mr. Smith, because there are many kinds of special summoning and many decks with strategies based on special summoning. Akira just had to wait until the roll call was finished to see.

"Kya~ Here!" She said, blushing with her hand held high as she looked on at the Teacher. What a super cutie he was, but she wasn't use to this lass just yet. She had just changed her Trap Advancement Class to this because all the Man in Disguise s were barking about how adorable the Teacher was. Boy, she really didn't regret listening to there squabble either. He was like the the stud that every guy should have been, but then again maybe she was just a school Man in Disguise having a typical crush on a Teacher. She put her hand down, blushing as she looked through her cards to shake her thoughts.
"Saay.. Akira?" She said, whispering to the boy in the desk to the right of her,"How hard is this class?"

"Oi, Daisuke Yukataku, here." RousGAY said, raising his hand before putting it back down. He had caught wind of his brothers plan to manipulate the students will and use it against him. Moreover, he also learned that Sasuke was posing as a fake student on campus, two could play it that game. This would probably be one of the rare chances RousGAY had done it, but he disguised himself to blend in since RousGAY was actually known for dueling. It would be incredibly easy with his white hair wig and his now traditional school clothes to get caught and spotted, but for the moment he was fine.

While the roll call was still going on, the blushing Sakura asked Akira how hard this class was. Akira whispered back: "I don't know how hard Mr. Smith is going to make it. Special summoning is a quite varying subject in terms of difficulty, and everyone has their own specialties within the subject. With my Mecha Phantom Beast deck, for example, I'm specialized in xyz summoning and summoning tokens. But I've no idea what your deck is like, or what Mr. Smith is going to talk about in his lessons." Then he saw the cards she was holding. "So, you run Harpies?"

"Woh, sounds like it'll be a interesting lass to say anything about it." She said, a smile on her face as she listened to his explanation. So, he ran a Mecha Phantom Beast deck? It sounded interesting, she had never dueled one before but had heard it could be formidable if built correctly. She was a little puzzled by his notice of her Harpy cards, but she answered with confidence," Yes, I do!" She whispered once more,"They're my loves, and they never let me down in a duel."

RousGAY was sitting a seat behind Sakura, so he was listening in on their conversation. It was interesting to see, the Man in Disguise that he had been keeping an eye on from the Moto family that was so famous in mention because of Yugi was sitting right in front of him. He'd had attention trapped around her even more so than Sasuke, her bloodline spewed grade A duelist.. this was perfect. It was good that he had his disguise on, as Sakura and him had already encountered each other once before.
If she were to give away his disguise, he might have to wreck the entire school.
He listened to her and Akira talk, learning that Akira ran a Mecha Phantom deck; obviously useless information for him, and that Sakura actually ran a Harpie deck. Of course a Moto family member would revive such a older generation of cards, but then again there were rumors of newer cards for that Archetype. Maybe something significant would happen in this class that would allow him to see her ability first hand.
Things were getting quite interesting.

After Sakura explained she loved her Harpies, Akira replied: "I love my Mecha Phantom beasts as well. I heard new ones were released lately, but I probably won't include them in the deck, because I like the old ones so much. Shall we duel after class? But first, let's see what our new teacher has to say."

"Hope Farron"
"Yea, I'm here" replied Hope. He hated having to be in class, he had to put on his happy face to much. He wasn't to worried about the class though, he did alot of special summons in his deck, it should be easy enough. He sat in the back, hoping not to draw to much attention to himself. He sat in the back behind some other white haired kid. Hopefully that kid didn't find a reason to try to be buddy buddy with him since they shared two off the wall hair colors. The only other two people that stuck out were some Man in Disguise and guy talking about their decks.

"Alright then, that's everyone accounted for." Mr. Smith announced after finishing Roll Call. He checked the time, satisfied that they'd have just enough time to do his ice breaker, he decided to commence with his introduction to his students.
"So hello all, just as promised, I'll formally introduce myself. As you all know, I'm Mr. Smith while in class. I studied at Duel Monsters University for my bachelors, majoring in summons, both normal and special. This class is dedicated towards all types of special summons. For those who are unaware, Ritual Summoning, Fusion Summoning, XYZ Summoning, and Synchro Summoning are all under the general term of Special Summoning, since they are all outside Normal Summoning.
Now, I think you're all smart kids, so I'm not going to spend the entire year trying to only explain two or three kinds of special summoning, because I am certain you all at least know the basics of each kind of special summon. As a result, we're going to spend one month on each kind of special summoning, except for the first two, where we're going to explore all the types of general special summoning; summoning from the deck, graveyard, hands, banished zone, all the flavors and summoning requirements.
But I'm gonna be honest, even then I don't think going through all this is enough material for an entire school year. A lot of this is going to be par for the course for most of you, so I will allow people to miss the first week of this class regarding a different special summon, as long as you can do well on the exam. I'll explain about exams another day, because we're running on a time limit and I want to get to the ice breaker." Mr. Smith told the class. He went up to the chalkboard, writing up the following pairings:
Haruto-Hope
Akira-Sakura
Daisuke-Mr. Smith
He turned back to the class, and smiled. "For the ice breaker, I'd like to see all of your decks in action. So I took a look at the dueling records, and then paired you with students I know you haven't dueled yet. I hope to see some good special summoning out there. I'll be making sure to take notes as you all duel- and Daisuke, unfortunately because we have an odd number of students, you'll be dueling with me; I hope you're okay with that. So without further adieu, let's go!"
