Now, it is not common that a person will die in a duel. This does not mean that it is impossible for it to happen, as it adds intensity to a duelist, and suspense to the battle. The only time a duelist would normally die, is if a person were to end up in a scenario where the game is more than virtual(For instance, the whole shadow realm dueling period), or if a person engages in a Destiny Duel. Now, there is a interesting way of determining if a person dies from a Destiny Duel. A Destiny Duel in itself, is when two competitors agree to the terms, and then flip the "Reality Guard" on their Duel Disk. A "Reality Guard" is what determines reality and fallacy when it comes to your dueling monsters. In Paradox city, things are quite different. The whole reason the Reality Guard was created was strictly military usage at start, but it was leaked and exploited by the public.. Paradox city has a higher crime rate because of this, with real monsters being play toys.. oh well. Duels can break out into real city wrecking battle fast with the Reality Guard!

Hopefully you won't die just like that!XD But yes, generally you would make a new character.
